From establishment to the present campus

The College’s history reflects its municipal foundation, modest beginnings, and growth as a public institution serving Cordova and nearby communities.

  1. 2005

    Establishment

    Municipal Ordinance No. 001-2005 established a public college in the Municipality of Cordova, Province of Cebu, to be known as Cordova Public College.

  2. June 2005

    College operations began

    The college became fully operational with 12 initial students, holding its first classes in the old municipal building.

  3. Growth

    A growing college community

    Enrollment increased through the years as learners from Cordova and nearby communities began studying at the college.

  4. Present site

    Campus in Barangay Gabi

    College buildings were constructed at the present site in Barangay Gabi to accommodate the growing student population.

  5. 2018

    Ordinance amendment

    Municipal Ordinance No. 2018-23, s. 2018 amended the earlier ordinances establishing Cordova Public College.
